At the Phoenix Studio
As part of my day job I run weekday and weekend classes at the Phoenix Studio in Towersey alongside a number of other talented artists and makers. Discover more about the Phoenix artists here.
There are regular classes and workshops in oil painting, portrait painting, and ceramic life modelling, drawing and printmaking. On Tuesdays we open the studio to those who want to work in a shared, relaxed and friendly space.
At weekends you may find visitors learning skills in mosaic-making, raku firing, or animal sculpture. Our weekend workshops are very popular so keep checking the Phoenix Studio website for updates; we're adding more courses all the time.
Schools and organisations
I particularly enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for creating which has led to some rewarding collaborative art projects with local schools. A recent favourite was the Food Chain Totem Pole – young artists collaborated in the creation of a unique piece of art, and along the way learned about ecosystems and food chains. If you would like to discuss how I could help set up a suitable project for your school, charity or organisation, please email or call for a chat.
I also offer tuition in small groups or one on one, with children, adults and for parties. This is normally on an ad hoc basis and tailored to your specific needs so if you're interested, please get in touch and I'd be delighted to talk through any ideas you have!
